Common wombats have a large bare, shiny black nose with granular skin. There head is round it relatively small triangular rounded ears on top. They have a pouch to carry their young in. Also, they have rodent like incisors that need to be ground down to keep them from getting to long. Wombats are quadrupeds. They have short and powerful limbs. Common wombats could grow from 28-47 inches long. They can weigh up to 32-80 pounds.
Wombats dig burrows in the ground that could be from 2-20 meters long with many side tunnels. There is usually one entrance to the burrow but a smaller one cane be made for easy escape. Wombats are also nocturnal. When foraging for food, they mostly go at night. Since wombats have incisors, they have to grind them down by gnawing on tougher vegetation.
